A usually happy girl that is quick to befriend almost anyone. Atarah is by nature a sensitive creature, not at all hesitant to cry the moment she feels the inclination to. A busybody she is not one to stay in one place for too long, but she always makes sure to return to the places she considers home.Determined and persistent she has proven herself to be a great ally and deadly enemy. Though not the strongest of her allies, her stamina is nothing to gawk at. Despite her fighting prowess, Atarah is by nature a sensitive creature, not at all hesitant to cry the moment she feels the inclination to.
history
As a child, Atarah dedicated herself to protecting her first and dearest friend: Rhel Himura. Because of this, she has always been a “protector” of sorts to him. Because of how other Gridanian’s thought of Miqo’te’s, she has been in countless physical fights which became the original spark for her days to come. Despite her mostly soft and passive nature, most of her younger years were spent fiercely defending her younger brother.
In her young adult years, Atarah mellowed out greatly. Free from the troubles of childhood bullying, she was free to explore the world as she’s always desired. Her first few adventures her demeanor was very similar to how she is now: a defender of those too weak to defend themselves and standing up for what she believes is right. Those at home praised her as “the people’s knight”, in honor of her Paladin parents.
During the events of Heavensward, Atarah’s entire demeanor changed. She was resolute more than ever in her duty, though there was no compassion to be found. Cold, cruel, relentless, and ever the silent champion, Atarah became quite the fearsome killing machine. The only thing she could focus her mind on was training to get stronger, at the expense of her own health at times. Were it not for her friends, she may have never overcome her depressive state and ended up on a different path entirely . . .Atarah has a tradition of cutting her hair during periods of great mourning, hence why her hairstyle/length may change frequently.
